This month, I'm hosting my first ever Sketch Raffle. This raffle offers several chances at sketch commissions! The original reason I planned this sketch raffle is because I need to pay for an eye exam in January, and new lenses for my glasses. I've needed new glasses for more than 2 years now, and obviously eyes are important *blinks owlishly at you*

But joining me now is . He and his family have a hard month ahead of them, so we're joining together in this. Half of the money raised by the raffle will go to him and his family to help them in paying for a new place to live in January, and hopefully ease their financial woes. He's really been through a lot; in the past year he lost his job, his computer fried, his dad went missing, and since he was found he's been living with Will and his family.

How this works: The sketch raffle works like a prize draw. Tickets are bought, and each ticket is an entry for a chance to win a sketch commission.

Recent Updates:

- I had my eye exam. My eyes are clear of any actual obstructions, but I'll have to put off new lenses for a couple of months still. They're $374 (and $200 for a new set of frames but I like the ones I have and I'm picky about that lol).
- I've been hard at work on the Hero Initiative book, not only as Art Director, but also EIC, inker, and talent manager. The deadline is coming up.
- We still need a logo artist for the book.
- I'm behind on some Notes and emails and will catch up after the book is done.
- I closed the raffle, drew the names and posted/notified the winners.
- I picked up a day of work at a local shop a week ago, and my asthma was triggered.
- I did Vancon on January 18th before I got too sick.
- I'm just getting back on my feet, thankfully I was able to get new asthma medication because it's cheaper than it used to be. I had held off on paying for new ones because it was so expensive in the past. But I had to give in when it was clear the ones I had were no longer effective (I've had to sit up for two whole nights to breathe... which kept my parents awake the first one).
- I'm baffled that (on top of refilling my regular inhaler) the doctor gave me a new inhaler that specifically said on it things like "do not use with Ventolin" (which is one of my inhalers), "a large study has shown an increase in asthma deaths", and "do not use if you have had a chest infection or cold". So... I'm not taking that one. Nuh uh. No thanks.

BTW if anyone is missing emails from me, I think my main address got spamlisted since some haven't arrived at their destination and I haven't gotten email from others, and I know that with any yahoo addresses I end up in the junk mail most of the time.
