Ink I did this weekend of ~raheight's pencils, a page of Ultimate XMen he did. Interesting that I found myself inking it cause I actually made a comment about it on the pencils ;P And it was good practice!

What can I say? Ray does some really sweet pencils. He did a great job with Colossus..... I just tried to thicken my inks slightly to make sure he stood out still, as well as making sure the gun things of the robots weren't flat against him. I've had a few people mentioning that my inks are a little heavy.... so I tried to keep it straight, sharp, and smooth without laying down too much. My 008 gave out on this one too ^^;

And something that I haven't actually had available is that the pencils for this image ARE on DA!

thats hella awesome yo.

inking is good, well done

Pro
+ paid attention on details
+ Great between the tone on short and long distance

Con:
- (no hard feelings on the pecillling) penciller did a great job capturing colossus' facial expression and his look, but for a russian powerhouse, does he look like he lost certain weights?

the rest is like usual, superb

I like it.

That said, halftones could do you wonders. Take a look at the windows of the mansion, a gradualy darker shadow would realy help. The only place I see you using the technique is the gun holes.

I would love to colour it.

Erm.... I can't do that on vellum paper with pens ^^; Plus I think it needed sharp edging, and the colourist would probably add a gradient of some sort to the lighting of them. I actually passed this one off to ~mennyo so he could practice for our book.
