I was asked to help out on Herc #6.1 (the strange numbering confused me too, especially since the pages just said #6 haha). The issue came out at the end of August.
I've never inked Mike Grell before, and they wanted a 70's-80's style inks on him so I did the best I could with what little time I had. Normally I have more time to get used to working over a penciler for the first time. Now I have more of a feel for it, so if I ink his style again I'll be ready
I think the thing that makes me most nervous is being handed the first page to an issue. Because that's the first thing anyone will see when they open the comic. Talk about anxiety!
Thanks man Well mostly it was that page 1 is the first thing they see, and I was nervous about how I handled the pencils. There are some things I would do differently if I ever got to work over Mike again.
