I sent my practice cards to someone for a critique and they said to refine the sketches a bit more.

This was SUPPOSED to be my example card for black and white sketch cards but I lost track of time....

I got carried away

2mm pencil, crowquill and brush on a 2.5x3.5" card. The actual card looks better than the scan *sigh*

I never really liked inking my own pencils -- I thought I wasn't as good on them as I was on other pencils. At SDCC, one of my mentors, Scott Williams told me I should be penciling and inking my own work so I'm trying.

Break up the lower lip line a bit, other than that, I love your Inks...maybe I could convince you to ink one of my pieces =)

It's only 2.5x3.5 inches :D I barely got in there with my crow quill hehe...
It doesn't take much convincing ;) But I duno how busy I'll be over the coming months.

The ink work could work as a negative too...because of the great whites cutting into the blacks.

The BG is a nice composition element as well, although the bottom part isn't necessary since you don't continue it through the image (not showing on the side) and you have the top one. But then again, you don't want to loose the contrast to help pop out that nice @$$.
;P

Nice work!

I added the bottom one cause it creates a sort of stark spotlight type feel on such a tiny card :D It looks better in person XD
